What Are The Best Options For Getting Around?

Buses:

Mahe and Praslin both have excellent public bus tranpsort.  Bus operating hours and schedules can be easily obtained.  On Mahe the bus service is provided by SPTC.  On Praslin the service is now offered by PTC.

Taxis:

Operate readily on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. 

Ferry:

Ferries operate between the islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue only.

Car Rentals:

There are several companies to choose from.  If you have not booked ahead you can take a chance to pick up a vehicle at the airport on Mahe upon arrival.

Horses:

Not for getting 'about' but horse riding services are available for a controlled 'ride about'.

Helicopter:

Service available for rides to several inner islands.

Aeroplane:

Inter island service provided by Air Seychelles for domestic travel.

Bicycle:

Available for rental on Praslin and La Digue.  Use caution and watch for traffic if you are bike riding on Praslin and Mahe!

Ox-Cart:

Traditional means of transport on La Digue and a must do!

Feet:

The cheapest and an option to consider to see parts of the islands!
